Warren East, CEO of ARM Holding has been talking at Computex 2009 about the journey from Smartphone’s to Netbook’s. He feels that the performance of current netbooks is too much for what the consumer needs.
With this in mind, they plan to produce ARM processors that have lower energy consumption. Warren East goes on to talk about “Smartbooks” and how they are essentially an always-online notebook with a much bigger display.
