Conjungo is behind the three new Go Understand web-based guides which offer advice for companies on how to select the right IT communications technology.

David Cruse, chief executive officer of the firm, said that technologies such as VoIP have been "a de-facto requirement for larger enterprises for over a decade".

However, he added that the decline in VoIP software licensing costs over the last few years has meant that "adoption by SMB's has risen dramatically".

"For many small business users, it is difficult to get independent advice and to understand what these technologies mean in business terms," explained Mr Cruse.

"Our new guides provide a useful resource, written in clear English, to help buyers find the best solution without bias towards any particular vendor or service."

According to a recent report on TMC.net, mobile VoIP is set to become the "next big thing" for business customers over 2009.
