Motion-Controlled Based PC Coming in March

Hoping to capitalize on the success of Nintendo’s motion controlled Wii system, PC manufacturer Lenovo plans to release the “IdeaCentre A600″–an all-in-one PC that comes packaged with a motion-based gaming controller.

The motion-controller will only be used for games that Lenovo have created and packaged into the system.

“We have an example of a bowling game [where] you can wave the remote and that actually controls your game,” said Ninis Samuel, director of marketing strategy and programs at Lenovo.

There are no specific titles announced by the company as of press time. It’s unclear what functionality the motion-controlled remote will have with current PC games.

In addition to being a motion-controller for video games, the remote will also double as an air mouse and an VOIP handset.

The desktop will sport a 21.5 inch screen with 1920 by 1280-pixel resolution, Intel Core Duo processors, up to 4GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

The IdeaCentre A600 will retail for $999.
